We Recycled Before It Was Cool

Since our inception, Camerota Truck Parts has been a pioneer of environmentally responsible practices.  Founded in 1960 by Sam Camerota as a scrap recycling & used parts yard, the recycling of used Trucks & Equipment is the seed that this company has grown on for over 65 years. 

Camerota Truck Parts is continually finding ways to recycle each part of every truck we dismantle. 

• We rebuild the transmissions, differentials, and steering boxes that we remove from scrap vehicles 
• We inspect all re-usable parts on each scrap vehicle and inventory all of the functioning used parts to sell to our customers
• We drain all of the oil out of the vehicles and use that waste oil to heat our gear shops and service facilities with reclaimed waste oil heaters

Finally, when the truck has been picked cleaned of all reusable items, it is then sheared and the scrap steel is sold to scrap recyclers so they can produce new steel.  This allows each scrap vehicle in our yard to have one more trip around the sun, possibly bringing new life to another truck being built down the road.

Thanks to the dedication of our employees, we continue to “Think Green”, utilizing LED lights in our gear shops that use less energy & paying for safe wastewater removal from our steam cleaning bays.
